HKDSC Junior Schools Debating Championship 2027

The junior division of Hong Kong's schools debating championship, run online in 2026 for grades 6 to 9.
The Junior Schools Debating Championship is the junior division of Hong Kong's schools debating championship, for grades 6 to 9. The 2026 edition ran online over two days in March with 28 teams, one judge per team, and an entry fee of HKD 300 per team.
The 2027 edition has not been announced; the dates shown are provisional. Rounds run on Hong Kong time, which suits our Asia students and works as an evening tournament for Dubai.

Who is it for?
Students in grades 6 to 9. A good first tournament for younger debaters in Asia and the Gulf.

Preparing for the tournament
Students entering their first judged rounds usually get the most out of a short run of coached practice first. The Foundation class covers the format from scratch, the Competition Team trains year-round, and the motion bank has thousands of real motions to practise on.
