The John Lewis Invitational is hosted by the Silicon Valley Urban Debate League out of Notre Dame San Jose. Debate divisions, including World Schools, run online on NSDA Campus from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November 2026, and the tournament is listed as a finals TOC bid for World Schools.
Rounds run on US Pacific time, so this suits our North American students best; Dubai families should expect late-evening rounds. The organiser's fee is USD 88 per team and registration closes on 18 November.

Preparing for the tournament
Students entering their first judged rounds usually get the most out of a short run of coached practice first. The Foundation class covers the format from scratch, the Competition Team trains year-round, and the motion bank has thousands of real motions to practise on.
