Westminster Invitational 2026: World Schools

Organised by The Westminster Schools, Atlanta

Westminster's World Schools division in Atlanta runs as a hybrid, with an online option, and awards a finals TOC bid.

The Westminster Schools in Atlanta run a hybrid World Schools division on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October 2026: teams compete on campus or online, and the division concludes on the Saturday. The final carries a TOC bid, and the prepared motions are published on 21 September.

Rounds run on US Eastern time. The organiser's fee is USD 150 per team and registration closes on 30 September, which makes this the tightest deadline in our calendar. Westminster only accepts payment by cheque, which we handle on the team's behalf.

What's included if you sign up through us

  • 4 hours of coaching by experts
  • Sorted registration and judge requirement
  • Feedback about the tournament after the rounds
Online or in person?

Either. We enter online unless a full team of three is based in Atlanta.

Who is it for?

A national-circuit bid tournament: best for Competition Team students who have already debated at one tournament.

Preparing for the tournament

Students entering their first judged rounds usually get the most out of a short run of coached practice first. The Foundation class covers the format from scratch, the Competition Team trains year-round, and the motion bank has thousands of real motions to practise on. How rounds are scored is explained in how World Schools judging works.
